As the nail-biting finale of Celebrity Traitors approaches, the historic walls of Ardross Castle are buzzing with intense drama. Traitors and Faithful alike are locked in a high-stakes showdown, vying for a massive cash prize destined for their favorite charities. But behind the cameras, things got even more explosive, according to finalist Nick Mohammed, who spilled the tea on a co-star’s epic meltdown over being stripped of a “basic human right.”

The 45-year-old actor, best known for his role in Ted Lasso, couldn’t hide his enthusiasm for the BBC smash-hit show, declaring he “absolutely adored” every moment. In a candid chat on The Comedian’s Comedian Podcast with Stuart Goldsmith, Nick pulled back the curtain on the masterful mind games orchestrated by the production team to crank up the tension.
Isolated in a bubble cut off from reality, contestants surrendered all devices and had zero clue about the time of day. Nick dished: “All your devices are taken from you. I was allowed one phone conversation a day with the kids. You are isolated from the outside world. We weren’t even allowed to know the time. So when we were in the castle, you’d be like ‘What’s the time?’ And they’d be like ‘It’s Traitors time’.”

But this cheeky evasion tactic pushed one celebrity to the brink. Nick recounted: “Every single member of production had to just answer with that until someone kicked off and they said, ‘It’s a basic human right, you can just tell us the time, it doesn’t mean anything!’.” While Nick lauded the producers for their “clever” psychological twists in a “positive way,” it’s clear this co-star was ready to walk out over the denial of such a simple necessity.

Despite initial hesitations—Nick confessed he was “reluctant to do anything as me” rather than his quirky alter ego, Mr. Swallow, and had turned down gigs like Taskmaster—his fandom for The Traitors won out. He simply couldn’t resist the thrill.
Fast-forward to the action: In a bold alliance, Nick joined forces with fellow Faithfuls Joe Marler and David Olusoga to sniff out the sneaky Traitors before the grand finale. Rugby powerhouse Joe, 35, zeroed in on comedian Alan Carr, 49, and singer Cat Burns, 25, as the culprits. In the latest episode, Joe confided in Nick about his suspicions, especially after Alan burst into laughter while struggling to declare, “I’m a Faithful” around a dramatic fire pit.

Joe fumed: “It’s just another confirmation of what I’m thinking already about Alan. He can’t even look us in the eyes and say I’m a Faithful. If that’s not a red flag, I don’t know what is.” With Cat also in his crosshairs for flying too low under the radar, Joe hatched a cunning plan: “My plan involves getting really close to Alan and Cat so they keep me in the game. Then I can pull the rug from under their feet at the last minute. Sorry, Traitors, I’m coming for you.”

Viewers were blown away by Joe’s razor-sharp instincts, flooding X with praise like: “Didn’t have Joe Marler down as being the smartest man in this game.” The episode also delivered heartbreak, with acting legend Celia Imrie murdered in cold blood by Alan during a lavish dinner party, and Good Morning Britain host Kate Garraway, 58, banished after being labeled “useless” for her lack of theories. So far, 11 Faithful have fallen, with only one Traitor—Jonathan Ross—exposed.

Breaking from the usual twice-weekly schedule, the star-studded spin-off wraps up in a supersized finale.
