IT’S OFFICIAL! Steph Curry FINAL Announces Career News After Missing 18 Warriors Games

Steph Curry watched from the sidelines as Draymond Green and the Golden State Warriors improved to 33-35 on the 2025-26 NBA season, defeating Alex Sarr and the Washington Wizards 125-117 on Monday. With Curry sidelined, the team now shifts focus to Wednesday’s matchup on their East Coast road trip against Jaylen Brown and the Boston Celtics.

The 38-year-old Curry, in his 17th NBA season, has remained a standout performer when healthy. Across 39 games this year, the former Davidson Wildcats star has averaged 27.2 points on 46.8% shooting, along with 3.5 rebounds and 4.8 assists per game. However, after exiting a loss to the Detroit Pistons on January 30 due to patellofemoral pain syndrome and bone bruising in his right knee, Curry has missed the last 18 games for Golden State.

While his basketball future remains tied to recovery and the Warriors’ push, Curry has continued building his legacy off the court. In 2019, he founded the UNDERRATED Golf Tour to promote equity, access, and opportunity in the sport. Partnering with LPGA professional and KPMG ambassador Mariah Stackhouse, the initiative provides young golfers—particularly from underserved communities—with pathways to compete, develop, and earn college opportunities.

Now in its fifth season, the UNDERRATED Golf Tour has hosted events at 16 U.S. stops across four prior seasons, staged four Curry Cups, and seen 83 alumni advance to college golf programs. On Tuesday, Curry officially announced the full 2026 U.S. schedule for Season 5, set to kick off this summer.

“I’m excited to announce the 2026 UNDERRATED Golf U.S. schedule,” Curry said. “Let’s get into it. For our U.S. Tour, we’re going to the Mark Bostic golf course at the University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida. True North in Scottsdale, Arizona. Seaview Golf Club in Galloway, New Jersey. Hillcrest Country Club in Los Angeles, California.

“All season long, we compete, we grow, we earn it, and it all leads to Curry Cup. This year, we’re going to one of the most formidable public golf courses in the world, home to multiple major championships, including the 2025 Ryder Cup. We are headed back to New York with the iconic Bethpage Black Golf Course.”

This announcement marks a major milestone for Curry’s post-basketball endeavors, expanding his influence in golf as he navigates his ongoing knee recovery. While he continues rehab and hopes to return to the court this season—the Warriors express confidence in his eventual comeback—Curry’s commitment to UNDERRATED Golf underscores his broader impact beyond the NBA hardwood.

As the Warriors prepare to face the Celtics on Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. ET without their star guard, Curry’s latest career move in golf highlights his enduring drive to create opportunities for the next generation.
