Kal: “I’m the good guy in this” — Controversial claim amid ‘blindsiding’ scandal

The Love Is Blind reunion episode left fans reeling, and no one has sparked more debate than Kal Pasha. After the explosive tell-all aired, Kal found himself at the center of a social media storm, facing a barrage of criticism for his decision to end his marriage to Sarover just months after their wedding. Now, the reality star is hitting back, defending his actions and revealing the “disgusting” hate messages flooding his inbox.

During the reunion, hosted by Emma and Matt Willis, it was revealed that Kal and Sarover’s fairy-tale romance had crumbled. Kal made the call to end things over New Year, leaving Sarover heartbroken and, as she described, “blindsided.” Nearly a year later, Sarover’s pain was palpable as she recounted the emotional toll of the breakup. Her mother, Bali, didn’t hold back either, expressing her disappointment from the audience, amplifying the tension in the room.

Kal attempted to explain his side, pointing to fundamental differences between the couple. He described Sarover as warm, emotional, and affectionate—qualities he admitted clashed with his more reserved nature, saying he’s less inclined toward “kisses and cuddles.” “I just don’t think I’m compatible in a long-term relationship,” Kal said, adding that meeting Sarover, who he called “the perfect woman on paper,” made him realize this about himself. But his explanation didn’t sit well with fans—or Sarover’s family.

The backlash was swift and brutal. Thousands of comments flooded social media, slamming Kal for his decision and how he handled the breakup. In response, Kal took to Instagram with a lengthy statement, sharing screenshots of vile hate messages he’s received. “The dark side of social media,” he wrote. “If you read these messages or the comments on my pictures without context of the show, you would think I’d committed some heinous act or violent crime.”

In his post, Kal defended his character, insisting he treated Sarover with “kindness and respect” during their five-month relationship. He acknowledged mishandling the breakup, admitting he “could’ve and should’ve” shown more compassion. He revealed he apologized to both Sarover and her mother in person after the reunion. “No wonder suicide is the leading cause of death for men under 50 when you get vilified for what many of you preach… being honest and true to yourself,” he added, addressing the toxic side of public scrutiny.

Kal stood firm on his decision to end the marriage, calling it “the right decision for both of us.” He emphasized that Love Is Blind was an experiment that “flips modern dating on its head,” and while he thought he’d found love, he was ultimately “wrong.” “I am only human,” he wrote, urging fans to channel their negativity into something positive instead of hate.

Support poured in from Kal’s co-stars. Kieran commented, “Disgusting messages, sending you love mate,” while Jed added, “Stay strong my brother.” Another supporter wrote, “You were true to yourself. Stay strong! You’re a real person, and people think their words don’t hurt.”

Adding to the controversy, Kal issued an apology for sharing his full wedding vows online, which had been edited down to two lines on the show. He initially thought it was a “nice sentiment” to post them but later realized it was a misstep, expressing regret for the decision.

Meanwhile, Sarover broke her silence with an emotional Instagram Story, thanking fans for their support. “You accepted me for who I am, and for that, I love you all so much,” she wrote. “I will fall asleep tonight with a heavy heart but a heart that I know you are all protecting, and that’s why I will be ok.”

The reunion also dropped another bombshell: Billy and Ashleigh, another Love Is Blind couple, had also split around the same time. Billy revealed he confided in Kal before ending his marriage, and both brides noted the “coincidence” of their breakups following a “similar script,” raising eyebrows among fans.
