Katie Ginella Reveals Secret Call From Matt and Slade, Accuses Jenn of Lying in Front of Tamra and Emily

Tensions boiled over on The Real Housewives of Orange County as Katie Ginella unleashed her frustration with Jennifer Pedranti during Thursday’s explosive episode, accusing her of lying and failing to back her up in a heated lie detector test controversy. The drama, centered around Gretchen Rossi’s alleged claims of being roofied and hospitalized during her infamous “naked wasted” moment with Tamra Judge, has left the cast divided and friendships fractured.

Katie, 40, didn’t hold back on the August 28 episode of RHOC: After Show, where she recounted her desperate attempt to get Jenn, 48, to corroborate her story about Gretchen’s shocking revelation. According to Katie, the group—including herself, Jenn, Matt Ginella, Ryan Boyajian, Slade Smiley, and Gretchen—had discussed the disturbing incident at a restaurant and later in a phone call. “You must be f*cking lying because I know what I heard at that restaurant,” Katie fumed, recalling how she pointed to Jenn during the confrontation, pleading, “Jenn, you know she said that.” She expressed her disbelief and hurt, noting, “We had just talked a month before on the phone about it, with Ryan and Slade on the phone. How do you not remember this?”

The betrayal stung deeply for Katie, who questioned why Jenn refused to confirm the story. “That’s the most disappointing part of this whole thing,” she lamented. “I don’t know why Jenn won’t just say, ‘I heard it too.’ I cried for weeks about this. Why would you wanna see me get annihilated?” Even Emily Simpson, 49, chimed in, frustrated by Jenn’s evasiveness. “Jenn is the one person that could clarify everything that was said and what happened, and you can’t get a clear answer from her,” Emily said. “Jenn could be the truth in all of this.”

Jenn, however, painted a different picture. She denied that Gretchen explicitly mentioned a hospital visit, claiming instead that Gretchen only said she felt so ill she could have gone to one. Feeling like a pawn in Katie’s narrative, Jenn explained, “It kept feeling like I was this lifeline that kept getting thrown out. Like, ‘If I use Jenn, my story is valid.’” She grew frustrated as the cast began associating her with Katie’s claims, urging Katie to “start speaking for you … stop grouping me with your same thoughts and feelings.”

The lie detector test, meant to settle the dispute, only deepened the rift. Jenn admitted to feeling “heartsick” watching Katie struggle during the test, but insisted she couldn’t “save” her. “I was looking at Katie at the other couch, knowing this moment is horrible for her but yet, I [couldn’t] save [her] anymore,” she shared.

Katie, undeterred, doubled down on her accusations, revealing a bombshell detail: Slade Smiley’s frantic attempts to keep the story under wraps. “We were in New Orleans, and Slade called [Matt] over and over and over,” she disclosed. “I think Slade calling Matt 20 times in a row, frantic, texting him ‘911,’ why would he do this if I just made this up and lied about it? He wouldn’t.” Katie also noted that Matt no longer speaks to Slade, signaling a fallout over the incident.

The drama took another twist when Katie addressed the lie detector test’s credibility on her Instagram Story. Sharing a clip from the H3 Podcast, she highlighted YouTube user Ludwig’s exposé of John Grogan, the man administering the test. Ludwig claimed he paid Grogan $1,000 for a polygraph, only to be told it wouldn’t be “legitimate.” According to Ludwig, Grogan admitted that polygraphs are “slow” and often “inconclusive,” with results that “trend toward lies” rather than providing clear answers. Shockingly, Grogan allegedly offered to manipulate results, telling Ludwig, “If there’s ever an answer you want, tap me on the foot … that’ll let me know that that should be a lie.” The revelation cast doubt on the test’s validity, with Ludwig labeling it “entertainment purposes” only.

As the RHOC cast navigates this web of accusations, secret calls, and questionable lie detectors, one thing is clear: the truth remains elusive, and friendships may not survive the fallout. With Katie feeling betrayed by Jenn and Tamra pushing for answers, the drama is far from over.
