MOVE OVER, ENZO! Chelsea SNATCH Sunderland’s 30-start PHENOM – Enzo Fernandez is ALREADY FORGOTTEN at the Bridge.

Enzo Fernandez was the match-winner for Chelsea last time out, scoring in their 1-0 win against Leeds United in the FA Cup semi-final.

However, the Blues could lose the midfielder this summer as he continues to be linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea want to hold more contract talks with Fernandez, but the likes of Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain are thought to be circling.

Chelsea view Sunderland’s Noah Sadiki as potential Enzo Fernandez replacement

In terms of who could replace Fernandez if he does leave west London in the next transfer window, Sunderland’s Noah Sadiki is one name Chelsea are thought to have on their radar.

According to CaughtOffside, Sadiki is one midfielder who is on Chelsea’s shortlist of potential replacements for Fernandez.

The outlet claims that Sunderland could ask for up to €60m (£51.8m) for his signature, which the Club World Cup winners can easily afford.

He has been a key player for the Black Cats this season, making 30 starts in the Premier League.

Regis Le Bris will not want the 21-year-old to depart the Stadium of Light, but if Chelsea come knocking, there may not be much that he can do.

Why Noah Sadiki can’t replace Enzo Fernandez

Sadiki would not be a like-for-like replacement for Fernandez. He would be coming in as another body to soften the blow of losing the Argentine.

At Chelsea, Fernandez has developed into a goalscoring midfielder who can play as a No.8 or No.10. This season, the former Benfica man has scored 13 goals in all competitions.

In contrast, Sadiki has failed to find the back of the net once. He is more of a defensive midfielder.

Someone like Leon Goretzka would be a more suitable replacement for Fernandez, but he is 31 now and is not thought to be a player Chelsea are actively looking at.

Chelsea are expected to adapt their transfer strategy this summer, but it remains to be seen if they will be willing to sign someone in their 30s.
