You can quite literally never guess what trick Married At First Sight bosses have up their sleeves next to stir the pot, so we got the shock of our lives when MAFS UK 2025 bride Julia-Ruth Smith returned for an explosive lunch with the girls just a couple of weeks after quitting the experiment alongside Divarni Balogun.
Following her return, Julia dropped that bombshell that she’d slept with Joe Wood after they secretly jetted off on holiday days after he split from Maeve Mathieson and left the experiment.
The revelations didn’t end there though, as Julia-Ruth admitted she now wanted to get to know Nelly Patel’s ex-husband Steven Springett after Joe ghosted her and now, just a few days after the dramatic scenes aired, Julia-Ruth has been spotted with a Love Island star.
The Islander in question is none other than Love Island 2025 Casa Amor bombshell Emma Munro, who shared a TikTok of herself hanging out with Julia-Ruth at a swanky celeb bash.
In the video, which was captioned, ‘They knew better than to put us on the same show 💀 @Julia-Ruth,’ Emma lipsynced the words, ‘Bring your baddest b*tch out, bring your baddest b*tch out. Bring your baddest b*tch,’ as Julia-Ruth appeared in the shot and blew a kiss to the camera.
Emma wrote the words, ‘Pull your pu**y up,’ which Julia-Ruth infamously shouted at co-star Bailey Smith during her last dinner party, over the top of the video.
The unexpected reality TV crossover divided fans, with one commenting, ‘Ofc they’re friends 🤣 two queens,’ while another added, ‘no I love this duo.’
However, not everyone was here for the chaotic duo as one remarked, ‘So embarrassing,’ and a second wrote, ‘Emma, I love you but no.’
Addressing the latter, Harry Cooksley’s ex replied, ‘I swear if you met her you’d understand 💕 we all need to stop acting like she’s committed a war crime 😂.’
Julia-Ruth may not have committed a war crime, but she certainly sent shockwaves through the rest of the cast when she revealed that she’d been intimate with Joe not long after they both left the experiment.
Joe’s ex Maeve fumed, ‘I can’t believe that Joe’s actually done this. You don’t tell someone that you love them, leave them and then two days later start cracking on with another wife, then f**k them in Lanzarote. F**k off.’
Despite all the drama, Julia-Ruth admitted she has no regrets in an Instagram post. She told her followers, ‘Joe and I ended up taking a very spontaneous trip together, and honestly, it was amazing. I hadn’t laughed that much in months — he reminded me of who I am and how I deserve to be treated.’
She added, ‘We had planned for me to visit him again after our trip, but the day before I was meant to go, I was ghosted. I never got an explanation, and we haven’t really spoken since. It hurt, but I don’t regret the experience itself or getting to know Joe.’
