Another drama-filled episode of Married at First Sight UK was broadcast on Monday (20 October), as the couples began taking the next steps in their marriages.
Whilst numerous relationships are progressing positively, Julia-Ruth and Divarni’s union has remained under scrutiny throughout the experiment, with many left bewildered by Julia-Ruth’s behaviour.
During Monday’s programme, Julia-Ruth and Divarni left their co-stars astounded when they turned up at the dinner party holding hands, with most having assumed they’d called it quits.
Upon greeting everyone, Bailey confessed he was “baffled” by the pair’s joint arrival, particularly after Julia-Ruth had repeatedly made it evident she isn’t drawn to her spouse.

Julia-Ruth and Divarni settled onto a sofa amongst their fellow participants, though the atmosphere remained tense as Grace declared: “Surprised to see you guys here together.”
Julia-Ruth replied: “We had a bit of a week, didn’t we?” before Divarni chimed in: “Definitely. [We] celebrated yesterday, our one month anniversary.”
His remark left everyone speechless, with Grace responding sarcastically: “Cool! That makes sense!”
Leigh demanded they should “go back to the beginning of the week” as the group pressed Julia-Ruth for explanations, prompting her to offer an apology to her husband whilst trying to defend her conduct, reports OK!.
The awkwardness persisted throughout the evening, with Julia-Ruth adding to the uncomfortable atmosphere by admitting she fancies Steven, who is wed to Nelly.
Viewers at home grew increasingly frustrated with Julia-Ruth and Divarni, with numerous people flocking to social media to voice their opinions. One person commented: “I am SCREAMING at how awkward this is #MAFSUK.”

Another posted: “Davide needs to call out Julia Ruth’s actions. #mafsuk,” whilst a different viewer remarked: “The fact that the other couples are just as miffed at Divarni and Julia-Ruth as we all are… #MAFSUK.”
Meanwhile in Monday’s MAFS, Maeve found herself conflicted over Joe, who couldn’t make it to the dinner party owing to a family funeral. The pair had met up the previous day, with Joe failing to provide a clear response regarding their future together.
During the dinner party, Maeve became emotional as she confessed to feeling “mugged” off and found herself struggling to determine her next steps concerning their marriage.
