The Warriors’ front office just got the GREEN LIGHT: A 57-MILLION-DOLLAR superstar who fits Curry’s timeline like a GLOVE. No questions. ONLY CHIPS.

Could Devin Booker be open to a trade after another early exit? If so, the Warriors must pounce.

The Golden State Warriors enter the 2026 NBA offseason with one clear mission: give Stephen Curry every possible opportunity to compete for another championship before the twilight of his legendary career comes to an end.

Coming off a disappointing 37-45 season that ended with a Play-In Tournament loss, the Warriors’ roster is filled with uncertainty. Few pieces appear untouchable as the front office searches for the right moves to build a legitimate contender around their 38-year-old superstar.

Thankfully, a high-level opportunity may have just presented itself in Phoenix.

After another early postseason exit — this time a first-round sweep — Devin Booker’s future with the Suns has suddenly become a legitimate topic of discussion. The 29-year-old guard has spent his entire 11-year NBA career in Phoenix, delivering memorable moments that include an NBA Finals appearance, a franchise-record 64-win season, and 51 playoff games played. Yet the results in recent years have grown increasingly frustrating.

Since their last playoff series victory in 2022, the Suns have failed to advance past the first round. In two of the past three seasons, they have been swept out in the opening round, while missing the playoffs entirely in the season they avoided a sweep. Compounding the instability, Booker has played under four different head coaches over the last four seasons.

While new head coach Jordan Ott may represent a long-term solution in Phoenix, another Round 1 exit could be the final straw that pushes Booker to request a change of scenery as he enters his 30s.

For the Warriors, this scenario represents a rare and compelling opportunity.

Booker is precisely the type of star-caliber scorer and playmaker the Warriors have been missing. In his prime and coming off yet another strong postseason showing (27.5 PPG career playoff average), he brings proven creation ability, shot-making, and experience performing at the highest level. Pairing him with Stephen Curry would instantly create one of the most dangerous backcourts in the NBA — a duo capable of competing offensively with any team in the league.

The fit feels almost seamless. Booker has already demonstrated an ability to thrive alongside an aging, elite point guard during his highly successful partnership with Chris Paul. With Curry, he could shoulder a significant portion of the offensive load, reducing the burden on the 38-year-old future Hall of Famer while maintaining elite spacing and playmaking.

Defensive questions would remain, but the offensive upside would be undeniable.

The financial framework for a deal is also potentially workable. Booker is set to earn $57,078,728 next season, a number that would likely require Golden State to attach Jimmy Butler’s expiring contract in any serious trade discussions. The bigger question is whether the Suns would demand significant draft compensation in return.

Still, if Booker begins to seriously entertain a fresh start after another disappointing end to the Phoenix chapter, the Warriors cannot afford to sit on the sidelines.

This is not a speculative long-shot idea — it’s a high-upside swing that aligns perfectly with where the franchise stands. Stephen Curry’s championship window is narrowing, and Devin Booker represents a prime-age superstar whose timeline fits like a glove.

No questions. Only chips.

The Warriors’ front office has been handed a potential green light. Now it’s time to see if they’re willing to pounce.
