Turns out this is the real reason why Steph Curry is ‘stubbornly’ refusing to follow the NBA crowd!

The Golden State Warriors’ 2025 playoff journey ended in heartbreak, with star guard Stephen Curry sidelined by a hamstring injury in Game 1, leading to a five-game series defeat against the Minnesota Timberwolves. As the offseason looms, the Warriors face the need for change to reclaim their championship form. However, one thing that won’t be changing is Curry’s stance on a popular NBA trend: starting a podcast.

In a recent interview, the two-time MVP addressed the idea of joining the wave of NBA players and athletes launching podcasts, firmly setting the record straight. “You won’t see me do it though,” Curry declared. “I got a lot of other things I wanna do… [Because] if you gonna do something you gotta be all in… It’s not something I’m passionate about.”

Despite his sister Sydel Curry hosting a podcast and his teammate Draymond Green successfully running his own, Curry has no interest in following suit. A podcast led by the NBA’s all-time great shooter could potentially rake in millions through sponsorships and hosting deals, but Curry’s priorities lie elsewhere. His passion for golf, among other ventures, takes precedence over diving into the podcasting world.

That said, Curry’s decision to steer clear of hosting his own show doesn’t rule out future guest appearances. NBA fans are eagerly anticipating a potential sit-down between Curry and LeBron James on James’ podcast, Mind The Game. For now, though, a Curry-led podcast remains off the table as he focuses on his other passions and the Warriors’ quest to rebuild for the next season.
