The Golden State Warriors have just made a blockbuster move to shore up their frontcourt—officially signing towering 6-foot-11 center Ömer Yurtseven to a 10-day contract.

Even though he didn’t see postseason minutes that year, that championship run experience is gold for a Warriors team hungry to contend again.
Yurtseven has already suited up for Golden State in two games, chipping in modest but solid contributions: 1.0 points and 2.0 rebounds per game across 7.5 minutes. With the contract still having a few days left, he’s got a prime window to showcase his rebounding prowess, size, and interior presence—potentially earning an extension or another deal with the seven-time champions.
The Warriors, battling injuries and depth issues in the frontcourt, are clearly looking to this 6’11” colossus to provide immediate rim protection, boards, and physicality alongside Stephen Curry’s elite shooting.
