From the BRINK to DOMINANCE: Teammate Reveals 2 EXCLUSIVE Secrets Behind Joe Marler’s UNBELIEVABLE Comeback on Celebrity Traitors!

Celebrity Traitors star Joe Marler got one step closer to uncovering Alan Carr and Cat Burns last night as he revealed he’s got his sights firmly set on the pair as Traitors.

The sportsman secretly pulled aside other Faithfuls Nick Mohammed and David Olusoga in a bid to team up and hunt down the Traitors ahead of the finale.

Telling the cameras after a tense round table that saw Alan, 49, and Cat, 25, survive another round, Joe, 35, revealed: ‘My plan involves getting really close to Alan and Cat so they keep me in the game.

He added: ‘Then I can pull the rug from under their feet at the last minute. Sorry, Traitors, I’m coming for you.’

Now, his rugby team mate Danny Care has revealed that Joe, 35, has two secret weapons up his sleeve which means he’s not surprised that the former player could be the one to win the entire series.

Not only does his pal think that Joe has the smarts to suss out who is lying by ‘remembering everything’, but can use his charms to ‘melt’ his fellow players.

Speaking to Alan Brazil on TalkSport, Danny, 38, who used to play for England alongside Joe, admitted he felt his team mate was ‘born’ to be in the show, because ‘no one can ever’ work him out.

‘As soon as he told me he was going in, I said, “I reckon you can win it”, because he’s born to play that game, he really is, and no one can ever work him out,’ he said.

‘Now he’s in there with A-list celebrities, and you can see, he is mind-warping them all. They have no idea what he’s on about.

‘Those pearly blue eyes can melt you… He’s one of the smartest blokes I’ve ever come across. He remembers everything, that’s the perfect way to play that game.’

Danny joked that he thought there were a few points where Joe was going to let his temper get the better of him, admitting he saw familiar ‘angry looks’ to what Joe would display on the rugby pitch.

He joked: ‘I thought last night it might be the first round table flip, and I thought he was going to whack Jonathan Ross – I’ve seen those eyes before, he was angry.

‘Those eyes, where he gets angry, and then I’ve seen people get quite physically hurt straight after, so yeah, I was a bit worried for a few of those celebs around the table!’

It comes after viewers praised Joe Marler as ‘the smartest in the game’ as he correctly guessed that Cat Burns and Alan Carr are playing on the dark side in Thursday night’s episode.

On Thursday night, Joe finally turned his attentions to Cat Burns as he tried to hunt down the Traitors left within the final five

The penultimate instalment was full of plenty of drama as faithful Kate Garraway was banished at the round table after Celia Imrie was murdered in plain sight by Alan.

However after Kate, 58, had gone, rugby player Joe returned to his theory from earlier in the day that Alan could be a Traitor and had just been slipping under the radar.

He then confidently confided in Nick, 45, that he thought Cat was too.

Fans of the show took to X to praise Joe for figuring things out as they penned: ‘Didn’t have Joe Marler down as being the smartest man in this game.’

Elsewhere the five finalists were revealed after the action-packed penultimate episode which saw a murder in plain sight and a final roundtable slanging match.

After Celia’s tragic murder at the beginning of the episode, it was Kate who was the final star to be booted from the castle during the banishing after she was frequently deemed ‘useless’ throughout the series.

As Cat, Alan, Joe, Nick and David relaxed in the castle after the tense discussions, they were then ushered out to the fire pit.

Claudia told them they were the final five finalists and nobody would be getting murdered.

She then asked them to all individually tell the group that ‘I am a faithful’.

Traitor Alan immediately burst out laughing as he tried to repeat the words, which aroused suspicion.

Joe said: ‘It’s just another confirmation of what I’m thinking already about Alan. He can’t even look us in the eyes and say I’m a faithful. If that’s not a red flag, I don’t know what is.’
