On Tuesday night, the Golden State Warriors will host the Sacramento Kings at Chase Center.
The Warriors have endured a challenging season plagued by injuries, but they recently welcomed back two-time MVP Stephen Curry. In his return on Sunday against the Houston Rockets, Golden State fell just short in a 117-116 home loss.

The team has now released its final injury report for Tuesday’s matchup. Jimmy Butler, L.J. Cryer, Al Horford, Moses Moody, Kristaps Porzingis, Quinten Post, and Gui Santos have all been ruled out. Stephen Curry has been upgraded to available.
According to ESPN’s Anthony Slater, Kristaps Porzingis will miss the game due to knee soreness. This likely leaves only two more possible games for Porzingis and Curry to build chemistry together before the play-in tournament (assuming no back-to-back rest). The duo shared the court for just 8 minutes on Sunday.
Curry Remains Among the NBA’s Elite
At 38 years old, Stephen Curry continues to perform at an elite level among NBA guards. In his return against the Rockets, he delivered 29 points, 2 rebounds, 4 assists, and 1 steal in 26 minutes, shooting 11-of-21 from the field and 5-of-10 from three-point range.
Even in the narrow loss, Curry’s health and sharpness make the Warriors a dangerous squad as they push toward the Play-In Tournament later this month.
Curry is in his 17th NBA season—all with the Golden State Warriors. He is currently averaging 27.3 points, 3.5 rebounds, 4.8 assists, and 1.1 steals per game while shooting 46.9% from the field and 39.3% from beyond the arc across 40 games this season.
As Jason Timpf of The Volume noted on Sunday: “I don’t think there has ever been a more terrifying player to have a 5-10 point lead against with 5 minutes left than Steph Curry. His team is quite literally never dead until that buzzer sounds.”
Warriors Position Ahead of Kings Visit
The Warriors currently sit as the 10th seed in the Western Conference with a 36-42 record through 78 games. They are currently on a four-game losing streak and have won just three of their last ten contests.
After facing the Kings, Golden State will stay at home to host the Los Angeles Lakers on Thursday.
With Curry back and available, the Warriors will look to snap their skid and keep their play-in hopes alive against a Sacramento team dealing with its own significant injury issues.
