BOMBSHELL: Los Angeles Lakers Make LeBron James Announcement Before Jazz Game

On Sunday, the Los Angeles Lakers will play the Utah Jazz (at home) in California.

The Lakers are coming off a 101-73 win over the Phoenix Suns.

LeBron James finished the game with 28 points, six rebounds, 12 assists and four steals while shooting 10/16 from the field and 2/2 from three-point range in 32 minutes of playing time.

For Sunday’s game, the Lakers have announced that James will be listed as questionable on the injury report.

Law Murray of The Athletic wrote: “The Los Angeles Lakers have upgraded Jaxson Hayes (foot) to questionable for regular season finale vs Jazz

LeBron James is questionable. If he plays, full Game 1 roster could be available Sunday”

James (who is 41) is currently averaging 21.0 points, 6.1 rebounds, 7.2 assists and 1.2 steals per contest while shooting 51.7% from the field and 32.1% from three-point range in 59 games.

He is in his eighth season playing for the Lakers (and 23rd in the NBA).

Lakers Right Now

The Lakers are the fourth seed in the Western Conference with a 52-29 record in 81 games.

They are in the middle of a two-game winning streak (and have won six out of ten).

At home, the Lakers have gone 27-13 in 40 games at Crypto.com Arena.

The Lakers last made the Western Conference finals in 2023.

They are coming off a year where they lost to the Minnesota Timberwolves in the first round of the 2025 NBA playoffs.

The Jazz will miss the 2026 NBA playoffs.

They come into the night as the 15th seed in the Western Conference with a 22-59 record in 81 games.

Over their last ten games, the Jazz have gone 1-9.
