Viewers of The Celebrity Traitors have been captivated by an unexpected friendship that’s flourished during the cutthroat competition – and they’re absolutely loving it.
BBC audiences have been glued to the celebrity version of the hit game show since it launched on October 8, with fresh episodes airing on Wednesdays and Thursdays at 9pm.
Presenter Claudia Winkleman selected comedian Alan Carr, chat show legend Jonathan Ross, and singer Cat Burns as her chosen Traitors in the opening episode. Whilst the trio have been working in tandem to avoid detection from the Faithfuls, fans have been charmed by the adorable connection between Alan, 49, and Cat, 25.
Their professional backgrounds couldn’t be more contrasting, with Alan gracing television screens since the early 2000s, whilst Cat burst into the spotlight in 2022.

Nevertheless, the unlikely pair appear to have forged a genuine friendship during production. They’ve been delighting followers by sharing amusing clips across each other’s TikTok accounts, frequently referencing their villainous roles in the BBC programme, reports the Daily Record.
This week, BAFTA-winning Alan uploaded a comedic sketch featuring himself and Cat preparing for another demanding day of treachery. The 29-second clip, set to Dolly Parton’s classic ‘9 to 5’, bears the caption: “Being a Traitor is a full time job.”
Previously, Cat and Alan collaborated on a lip-sync video featuring a mashup of Nicki Minaj’s ‘Beez in the Trap’ and 4 Non Blondes’ anthem ‘What’s Up?’
These brief videos have racked up an impressive seven million views and garnered over one million likes. Fans have flooded the comments sections, praising the “iconic” partnership.
“The producers deserve BAFTAs for putting these two icons together,” gushed one viewer. Another fan chimed in: “The duo I never knew I needed until Celebrity Traitors,” while a third echoed: “I love the Alan and Cat duo.”
A fourth quipped: “Have you two moved in together?” and another added: “Jonathan third wheeling for sure.”

Some fans have even speculated that Alan and Cat’s frequent appearances in each other’s social media posts could hint at a future plot twist where they double-cross fellow Traitor Jonathan.
One theorised: “Subtle foreshadowing that you both turned on Jonathan,” and another agreed, writing: “Notice how Jonathan isn’t there cos they’re gonna backstab him and win together.”
BBC viewers will just have to stay tuned to see if these fan theories hold any water.
