ITV Love Island Shock: Shakira Reveals She Still Hasn’t Reunited With Her Family!

The dust may have settled on the Love Island 2025 finale, but the drama is far from over for runner-up Shakira Khan. The 22-year-old, who captured hearts alongside partner Harry Cooksley on the ITV2 reality sensation, dropped a surprising revelation during an appearance on Loose Women on Thursday, August 14. Nearly two weeks after the show’s thrilling conclusion, Shakira admitted she has yet to reunite with some of her closest family members, leaving fans stunned.

Joined by co-star Toni Laites, Shakira opened up about life post-villa during the lively Loose Women chat. When host Denise Welch probed whether Shakira and Harry, 30, had taken the big step of meeting each other’s families, the reality star’s response was unexpected. “Not yet,” Shakira confessed with a smile. “My mum’s been off cruising around the Mediterranean, and I haven’t even been home to see my dad. I haven’t seen him in 10 weeks!”

The admission sparked gasps from the panel, highlighting the whirlwind that has been Shakira’s life since leaving the Love Island villa. Despite the delay in family reunions, Shakira remained upbeat, sharing insights into her blossoming romance with Harry. The couple, who secured second place in the competition, is taking things at their own pace, resisting the pressure to rush their relationship.

“Coming out of the villa, everyone’s all exclusive and loved-up,” Shakira explained, as reported by OK!. “But for us, it’s important to build things back at our own speed. Our experience in the villa was so unique, and we’re just enjoying getting to know each other outside of that bubble.”

Harry, who was in the Loose Women audience cheering Shakira on, didn’t escape the hosts’ scrutiny. When Kaye Adams playfully asked if he had been “the bad guy” in the villa, Harry owned up to his controversial moments. “I was the villain for a bit,” he admitted with a grin, “but deep down, I’m not that person. I didn’t want to just sit in a corner for eight weeks and waste my time. I wanted to make the most of it, and thankfully, it all worked out.”

The conversation also turned to Toni Laites, who won Love Island alongside her partner, Cach. Reflecting on her journey, Toni revealed a shift in her approach to love. “In my normal life, I used to chase trouble—toxic guys, you know?” she shared candidly. “But Cach is everything I could ever ask for and more. He made my Love Island experience so special, especially after all the drama with my ex, Harrison Solomon. Being his first choice felt incredible.”
