The drama on Married At First Sight UK reached a boiling point as former footballer Steven unleashed an expletive-laden tirade at a heated dinner party, leaving fans and co-stars stunned. The explosive moment, teased at the end of Wednesday’s episode and set to air in full tonight on E4, saw Steven, who is paired with Nelly, storm off the set after dropping a shocking “c-bomb” in a confrontation with his fellow castmates.

The chaos erupted when Steven overheard bride Julia-Ruth dishing to Rebecca and Leah about his personal life. Julia-Ruth didn’t hold back, revealing to the group: “He f***ed a girl like two weeks before he came in here.” The comment hit a nerve, prompting Steven to confront the trio with fire in his eyes. “Oi – who decided to say I was talking about my sexual activity?” he demanded, his voice dripping with frustration.
Julia-Ruth stood her ground, firing back, “You did, we were all there!” Unfazed, Steven doubled down, slamming his glass on the table and letting loose with a fiery outburst: “People are starting to fk me off!” Mimicking a chatty hand gesture, he didn’t stop there, branding his co-stars “f**** c***s” before storming out of the dinner party in a blaze of fury.

Fans were left reeling, with social media buzzing over the jaw-dropping moment. One viewer commented, “C bomb, not a bleep in sight!!!” Another gasped, “I saw the ending on last night’s episode and was screaming nooooooooo!” A third admitted, “That C bomb thoooo (it’s bad that it’s one of my favourite words!) lol.”
Rather than backing down, Steven took to Instagram to address the controversy with his 10,000 followers, standing firm and offering no real apology. Posting clips from the explosive episode, he wrote, “Marriage; not just sunshine & rainbows. Sometimes conversations need to be had. We spoke, we listened, we moved forward @drnellyp.” In a cheeky nod to his wife, he added, “p.s. my brews were always better.”
He also took a playful jab at co-stars Keye and Dave, saying, “You must’ve hated me for ruining Pizza & Rosè night @keyeluke @daveanica – but you know I love ya both ‘commando next time’.” His only hint of remorse came in a brief afterthought: “Sorry for the foul language too Mother.” Far from a heartfelt apology, Steven’s post doubled down on his fiery stance, framing the outburst as a necessary clash.
This isn’t the first time Steven has clashed with his MAFS co-stars. Tensions flared in Wednesday’s episode when he locked horns with Keye. In a heated exchange, Steven told Nelly, “People don’t need to know my business yet, because you’ll see a side of me probably, you won’t like.” Keye, refusing to back down, snapped, “I’m not trying to come to your relationship. I’m not. Couldn’t give a flying fk. I’m here for my relationship.” Steven hit back, accusing Keye of meddling: “You’re basically telling people to ‘fk off.’ You are not part of his relationship, so see yourself out.”
