The Nuggets are coming off a dominant 103-84 victory over the Boston Celtics on Wednesday, but the win came at a cost. All-Star point guard Jamal Murray exited the game early and did not return.
Nuggets List Jamal Murray as Questionable Before Friday’s matchup, the Nuggets officially announced their injury report. Murray has been listed as questionable, joining Spencer Jones and Jalen Pickett on the list. Peyton Watson and Aaron Gordon have been ruled out for the game.

Rylan Stiles of the Locked On Thunder podcast shared the update: “Nuggets list Jamal Murray, Spencer Jones and Jalen Pickett as questionable. Peyton Watson and Aaron Gordon are OUT vs. the Thunder.”
Jamal Murray’s Season and Career So Far Murray, the seventh overall pick in the 2016 NBA Draft out of Kentucky, is now in his 10th NBA season — all with the Nuggets. The 29-year-old is putting up strong numbers in 2025-26, averaging 25.1 points, 4.3 rebounds, 7.4 assists, and 1.0 steal per game while shooting 48.3% from the field and 42.1% from three-point range across 54 contests.
Murray has already built a standout legacy in Denver. He is the franchise’s all-time leader in made three-pointers, delivered multiple 50-point playoff performances in 2020, and played a pivotal role in the Nuggets’ 2023 NBA Championship run, including a triple-double in the Finals.
Current Standings and Form The Nuggets enter the contest as the No. 4 seed in the Western Conference with a 37-22 record after 59 games. They have gone 4-6 in their last 10 outings and hold a solid 21-11 mark on the road.

The Thunder, meanwhile, sit atop the West as the No. 1 seed with a 45-15 record after 60 games and have won six of their last 10 contests. Oklahoma City is coming off its first-ever NBA title last season, when it defeated the Indiana Pacers in seven games. The Nuggets fell to the Thunder in the second round of last year’s playoffs.
Big Boost for OKC Thunder superstar Shai Gilgeous-Alexander has been cleared to return after missing the previous nine games with an abdominal strain. He is not listed on Oklahoma City’s injury report for Friday.
ESPN’s Tim MacMahon confirmed: “Shai Gilgeous-Alexander has been cleared to return after missing the last nine games due to an abdominal strain. He is not on OKC’s injury report for tomorrow’s game vs. Nuggets.”
What’s Next Following Friday’s game in Oklahoma City, the Nuggets will return home on Sunday to host the Minnesota Timberwolves. The Thunder will head to Dallas on Sunday to face the Mavericks.
With Murray’s availability still in question and Shai back in the lineup for the Thunder, Friday’s matchup carries major implications for the Western Conference standings as the season heads toward the stretch run.
