Result – Real Madrid 2–1 Barcelona: Mbappé and Bellingham shine in El Clásico
The latest El Clásico lived up to expectations, delivering drama, controversy, and world-class performances as Real Madrid defeated Barcelona 2–1 in the 10th round of La Liga.
The match began at an electric pace. In just the 2nd minute, Vinícius earned what seemed to be a penalty after a foul by Lamine Yamal, but VAR overturned the decision. A few moments later, Kylian Mbappé fired home from distance, only for the goal to be ruled out for offside.

Real Madrid continued to dominate and finally broke through in the 22nd minute. Mbappé timed his run perfectly, evaded the offside trap, and finished clinically to give Los Blancos the lead.
Barcelona quickly found their response. In the 38th minute, Fermín López capitalized on a mistake by Arda Güler to level the score at 1–1. But Real retook the advantage before halftime—Jude Bellingham found space from a clever set-piece and slotted home in the 43rd minute. Mbappé thought he’d made it 3–1 shortly after, but once again, the flag was raised for offside.

The second half began with Real pushing hard to extend their lead. Vinícius and Tchouaméni caused constant problems, and in the 50th minute VAR awarded a penalty for Eric García’s handball. However, Mbappé’s spot-kick in the 52nd minute was brilliantly saved by Szczęsny.
Barcelona regained control for a spell, with Fermín López forcing Courtois into a crucial save in the 53rd minute. The game opened up as both teams launched counter-attacks—Mbappé and Vinícius for Real, Yamal and Rashford for Barça—but neither could find the decisive finish.
In the 69th minute, Bellingham had the ball in the net again, but it was disallowed for offside. Barcelona’s hopes faded late on when Pedri was sent off after receiving a second yellow card.
In the end, Real Madrid held firm to claim a 2–1 victory. The result strengthens Xabi Alonso’s men at the top of La Liga, extending their lead over Barcelona to five points.
