THE ACT IS OVER: Best Friend Exposes the Truth About MAFS UK’s Favorite Couple During Family Meet-Up!

Tonight marks in-laws week for the remaining Married at First Sight UK couples.

In an exclusive preview from Wednesday’s (October 8) episode, Maeve and Joe receive a visit from Maeve’s mate Sophia and tensions rise as she quizzes the newlyweds about their future living arrangements.

Sophia highlights: “But a massive thing is, Maeve has a son, so would Joe come to Newcastle? or was that not discussed at all?”.

“You have Archie, and you actually have him at school, and you can’t just sort of get up and move somewhere, and like, do you think that that could cause a problem for you?”.

Joe replies: “Possibly” before continuing: “I’d come to Newcastle, but we’ve just got a long way to go.”, reports the Daily Star.

Maeve contributes: “It’s such a long way. Yeah. We’re just living in the moment, isn’t it? And then we’ll just see what happens.”

Speaking to the camera, Sophia remarks: “I think Maeve and Jo not thinking about the future or talking about the future is to protect themselves, to stay inside the bubble.

“The reality is this isn’t how real life’s going to be. They do need to discuss it because it’s going to happen.”

This follows Joe becoming tearful as he revealed his previous battles with alcohol during a recent commitment ceremony.

“I’ve just found the whole thing quite overwhelming, just the whole process. That’s where she’s been such a solid rock for me,” he confided to MAFS experts Paul C Brunson, Mel Schilling and Charlene Douglas.

“She [Maeve] knows what I’ve been through in the past with the booze and what have you. She’s just been so reliable and so strong for me; she’s literally got a heart of gold.

“That’s why I’m getting emotional because I’ve never met someone that’s so selfless in a relationship. We just know we’re there for each other when we need it. My biggest worry in our relationship though, obviously with my past with the drinking and the drugs and stuff like that.

“She very much [likes to party], which is absolutely fine and I’d do it now and again, but my biggest worry is that I don’t want to be the fun sponge.”

Maeve reassured her husband: “You’re not going to be. I’m choosing not to go out because I’d rather be with you… I’ve never had calm in my life. It’s always been drama constantly. And when I’m with Joe, it’s quiet. He’s my calm, and it’s all I’ve ever wanted.”

Joe then disclosed that he’d fallen in love with his new wife, declaring: “I think you’re amazing and I’ve been in love before and I’ve been trying to find love again, and I genuinely think I have fallen in love with you. One hundred per cent.”

An emotional Maeve then responded, “I can’t tell you how much you actually mean to me. I’ve never met anyone like you. Do you know what it is? Yeah, I do love you too.”
