The issue first surfaced when French media published Chelsea’s starting XI before the first leg of their Champions League last-16 clash against Paris Saint-Germain. A week later, the lineup was again compromised before kick-off, revealing that Wesley Fofana was absent and that Trevoh Chalobah and Jorrel Hato would start at centre-back.

When asked directly if the club had tracked down the leaker, Rosenior was unequivocal.

“We know,” he said. “And it’s not come from any place of malicious intent to me or the team. We know where it’s come from and we’ve dealt with the situation.”

The head coach declined to provide further details, but it is understood the information did not originate from any player or member of the coaching staff.

The leaks came during a difficult period for Chelsea, who were comprehensively beaten 8-2 on aggregate by PSG across the two legs. In the aftermath, midfielder Enzo Fernández sparked speculation about his future when speaking to ESPN Argentina.

Asked where he sees himself next season, the 25-year-old replied: “I don’t know, there are eight games left and the FA Cup. There’s the World Cup and then we’ll see.”

Rosenior revealed he held an in-depth conversation with Fernández before Thursday’s training session—not solely about the comments, but about his overall well-being and how the team can improve.

“He’s one of the captains of the club,” Rosenior explained. “What I would say is he made it really clear to me how happy he is here at this club, how much he wants to win, how passionate he is to be successful. And he also said that in translation and in emotion things get misconstrued in what he said. For me he’s fully committed to this group, he’s fully committed to win here.”

On a separate injury note, defender Trevoh Chalobah was stretchered off during the PSG tie. Initial fears were grave after he posted an Instagram image showing his ankle bent at an alarming angle—nearly 180 degrees.

“You’re really, really worried the next day,” Rosenior admitted. “Obviously, it’s never good that Trevoh is out for any period of time but fortunately it’s nowhere near as serious as we first feared. It’s still a serious injury but we’re looking at a period of maybe six weeks.”

With the leaks now shut down and key internal matters clarified, Rosenior and his staff can turn their full attention to the remaining fixtures—including the FA Cup—and rebuilding momentum for the season ahead.
