Ruth Codd has shared her one major regret from her time competing on The Celebrity Traitors, after her brutal ‘murder’ aired during Wednesday’s (15 October) episode.
The Irish actress, 29, became the third Faithful to be murdered by the three Traitors – Jonathan Ross, Alan Carr and Cat Burns – after she’d continued to share her suspicions over Jonathan being a Traitor.
Describing her experience, Ruth admitted: “I mean… to say it’s been surreal… I’m not sure that I’m not about to be woken up from a very weird dream.”
She went on to reveal that while she’d learnt a lot about herself, she did regret not standing up for her fellow Faithful, Niko Omilana, who was the first contestant to be banished after maining grew suspicious of him.

“I think at the first one, I didn’t say enough, and I kind of held back, because that’s what everyone else was doing,” Ruth said of the roundtables.
“Even though I didn’t vote for Niko, I also didn’t stand up for him. I do really regret that.”
She went on to reveal that seeing how everyone had easily turned on Niko prompting her to become more vocal about her opinions on the show. “After that, I was ready and determined to always voice my opinion. I knew it was probably going to get me murdered, but the guilt after Niko left made me think that I’m not going to go through the rest of the game feeling like this. I played honestly, true to my opinions and leave with no regrets,” she added.
Elsewhere, Ruth revealed she was eventually glad to have been chosen as a Faithful, as she was grateful she didn’t have to lie to her co-stars and realised she is a “loyal person” so naturally fit in with the Faithfuls.

Ruth expressed great admiration for fellow Traitors stars Clare Balding, Charlotte Church and Celia Imrie, branding the trio “amazing” and saying they “made the experience” for her.
Ruth was the third celebrity to be murdered on the BBC One show, following singer Paloma Faith and Olympian Tom Daley.
YouTuber Niko Omilana was the first to be banished, followed by EastEnders favourite Tameka Empson and TV presenter Clare Balding.
Thursday’s (16 October) episode ended on another cliffhanger, with Jonathan, Alan and Cat attempting to decide on their next victim, with the trio torn between Charlotte Church, Kate Garraway, David Olusoga and Mark Bonnar.
