CELTICS DROP A BOMBSHELL! The 44% Three-Point Sniper Is Back To Save The Celtics’ Frontcourt Tonight

After playing 6 of their last 7 games on the road, the Boston Celtics finally return to TD Garden for four straight home games. They split their recent road contests against the Brooklyn Nets and Chicago Bulls and will host the Portland Trail Blazers on Monday night (Jan. 26, 2026).

The biggest positive update: Josh Minott is listed as questionable on the latest injury report. The fourth-year wing has missed 11 straight games with a left ankle sprain. Combined with falling out of the rotation right before the injury, he’s appeared in only 1 of Boston’s last 16 games.

In his first season with the Celtics, Minott averages 6.3 points, 4.0 rebounds, and nearly 1.0 steals per game while shooting over 50% from the field – strong numbers when healthy. His return would add valuable wing depth and energy as the Celtics push forward.

Boston Celtics, Josh Minott.

Celtics Injury Report Ahead of Trail Blazers Game

Neemias Quetaquestionable (non-COVID illness). Queta nearly missed Saturday’s 114-111 loss to the Bulls. Joe Mazzulla started Amari Williams and used Luka Garza off the bench before Queta entered (after Garza’s ankle tweak). Queta remains the primary starter, averaging 10.2 points, 8.0 rebounds, and 1.3 blocks – thriving in the starting role.

Jayson Tatum – continues Achilles rehab (no firm return timeline).

Positive note: Garza isn’t listed despite a minor ankle issue vs. the Bulls (4 points, 2 rebounds, 1 block in 14 minutes).

Jaylen Brown – not on the report despite recent comments after the double-overtime win over Brooklyn: “I’ve been dealing with some hamstring tightness, so I didn’t have my burst today. They were switching the five on to me, with Claxton. And he’s, in my opinion, way too far out. I should be able to blow by him and do what I do, but I just didn’t have that acceleration tonight. And sometimes that can mess with your head a little bit, but find other ways to be effective. Trusting my teammates, rebounded the ball, and things like that, and it led to a win.” Brown played 46 minutes vs. Nets and 37 minutes vs. Bulls – encouraging sign he’s available.

Celtics in Strong Position Without Tatum long-term, Brown, Derrick White, Payton Pritchard, and the young core have kept Boston elite. Four straight home games is a golden opportunity to build momentum and prepare for Tatum’s eventual return.
